Roger Angell turns 93 today. In recent email correspondence with him, Angel said to me, "I hope we'll meet at the park one day, and talk a little baseball." It's this spirit and optimistic enthusiasm that we all have to come to depend on in Angell. Here's to hoping that he enjoys the coming postseason, can write about it a bit at his leisure, and shows up at a field somewhere next March, eager to get going on yet another season. Here's
